Hello, my friends, and welcome to episode 12 of Let Me Adjust My Ears, a Disney pod that says extra AF as you. And today, that tagline, a Disney pod that says extra AF as you, is going to come into play. more than usual. So when I tell people that my favorite piece of planning business as a travel advisor is booking adults only trips to Disney or Universal. People give me that childless millennial look. If you know, you know what I'm talking about. I finally started staying as my tagline for my business that if you want a Disney vacation, like Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte, and Samantha would take, then I'm your girl. So with the 25 year retrospective of the anniversary of and the city going, and we're heavy into episodes of aunt just like that.
I thought it would be fun to share this quiz that I did way back in I think it was 2018 to show which of my TV besties where they would go. Which Disney vacation were? Charlotte, Carrie, Samantha, and Miranda. So get your pencils ready. We're gonna do this quiz together, or you can just listen, take the quiz online. I'll put the link to the quiz in the show notes, but let's just have some fun. Alright. Question number 1. Here we go.
It is a 3 day weekend. How are you spending your Friday off? Are you shopping with your besties and probably going just a teensy bit over budget, mama needs a new pair of Momnolos. blasting the new t swift single on repeat and swiffering the heck out of your pad, binge watching Bridgerton. I can't get enough of that show. Or d, meal prepping for the rest of the week, you won't catch me getting DoorDash. Question number 2. What's your anthem for the day? Dancing queen by Abba or d, hot child in the city by Nick Guilder. Question 3. It's Friday night, and you and the squad are hitting the town. What are you wearing? A, ripped jeans and a graphic tee. Cute and casual is the name of the game. B, I'm going all out, girl. Whatever it is, it has to go with 6 and shields. c, a simple dress.
I can always dress it up with jewels. Or d, something sleek and elegant, name brands are a plus. Question number 4. It's time to sweat off last night's fun. What is in your gym bag? A, a protein shake to jump start my post workout recovery, b, my yoga mat, you won't catch me practicing sun salutations on the cold hard floor. C, refreshing snacks for me and my workout buddies. or d, my trusting running shoes. By Jim, you mean trails.
Right? Okay. Next question. Workout. Check. Now it's time for last night's debrief and coffee. What is your barista making? iced coffee with sweet cream, cold, foam refreshing, and rich, a super sweet caramel macchiato, yum. An espresso shot, or 2, or d. Matcha all the way, baby.
I like it when my caffeine comes with all the anti accidents. It's time to leave the pals behind for date night. What are you and your special doing together? And what are the 2 of you doing together? A. An avant garde museum exhibit with a cocktail or 2 B, browsing a vintage bookstore than catching a foreign film. C, eye gazing over a tasty dinner at the new b throat, then a long walk by the water. I am all about the romance, baby. Or d, a drive in movie with popcorn and red licorice, and maybe a bit of cuddling. k.
Two more questions left. So It's Sunday, about 3 day weekend, and it's time to hit the call map and meditate on your next vacation. Where are you packing to go? a, an all inclusive in Mexico, beach parties, tons of sun, and b Give me art, museum's fashion and fine wine, please, and thank you. C, New Zealand. I wanna relax and be surrounded by epic nature. Or d, you want vibrant culture, varied landscapes, and a rich cultural history. Maybe Peru. Last question, Monday after 3 day weekends, The worst, what are you door dashing for dinner tonight? A, something healthy, a big salad, or a fresh poke bowl B, anything spicy.
Indian or Thai are my usual go tos. c, sushi, any day of the week, bring on the spicy tuna, yum or d, comfort food, a solid burger, and fries, sounds divine. Okay. Now let's look at the answers, and we're gonna find out if you based on your answers, are a Carrie Miranda, Charlotte, or Samantha. And, of course, these are all up for debate because some of them could be more than one of the besties of the gal pals. But this is what I wrote. And, again, this was so long ago, like, there was not even a glimmer of and just like that. So these are all based from the original 6 seasons a sec in the city.
So question 1, if you are shopping with your besties, you are Samantha. 2, Are you blasting T Swift? Carrie. Are you Benjing Bridgerton? you're seated on the couch with Miranda. And your meal prepping, that has Charlotte written all over it. Okay. Question 2, hot child in the city, that would be Carrie. Hamilton Miranda. Dancing Queen, Charlotte, remember her dancing at the beginning of season 3 when they're at the firehouse.
Classic. And what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, that would be Samantha's mantra. Question 3. Wearing your ripped skinny jeans. Hey, Miranda. Are you going all out with heels? Hello, Carrie. Dress it up with your fine jewelry, Samantha, sleek, elegant, and brand names. Hello, Charlotte.
I think that one, Charlotte also speaks to Anne just like this and her desire to get Lily's dress back. because it's got a brand name on it. Okay. Question 4, you're having a protein shake. You're Charlotte. Your yoga mat is Samantha, another classic episode where Sam and Carrie get hot in the yoga, hot yoga. refreshing snacks, that's Carrie, and running shoes. Miranda, of course, she ran the New York marathon.
Question 5, iced coffee, carry, caramel macchiatos, Samantha, espresso shot, Miranda, because, you know, she was in school. She was Harvard. She worked all the time. Matcha Charlotte. Question 6. Okay. Question 7. An all inclusive in in Mexico screams Samantha to me. Art, museums, fashion, and fun. Hello, Carrie. New Zealand, I picked Charlotte mostly because it's rest and relaxation, which Charlotte desperately needs. But it could also be the vibrant culture. I get it.
They probably all really like vibrant culture, but I picked Miranda for that. Question 8, the healthy salad, Charlotte, spicy Thai, Miranda, Sushi is Samantha. That comes from one of the movies where she made herself a sushi platter, comfort food, burger and fries, That's Carrie. She splits those fries after she sees big for the first time since their breakup at the, quote, unquote, our place with Miranda. Okay. So add up, you know, all your little lines and decide if you're a Carrie, Charlotte, Miranda, or Samantha. Then I'm gonna tell you what this has to do with your Disney vacation. Again, this is up for debate.
This was in my head, and here we go. Are you a carry? Pack your best walking shoes, Mickey ears for your Instagram picks, and the latest Loungefly backpack. you're headed to a theme park and resort. Now granted, it doesn't necessarily have to be in the US theme park. It could be an international theme park, but I can totally see Carrie at Walt Disney World. You've been called sassy and smooth more than once in your lifetime, your natural beauty is unmistakable. So it makes sense why you would go for the class You're practical in life and you prefer to be behind the keyboard than on the runway. This doesn't mean you're new to success though.
Nope. or work ethic and productivity is epic. You know what you want and you go for it. And because you know what you want, vacations are easy for you. You love popcorn buckets, mickey pretzels, and butter beers. And maybe if you're daring a tequila flight in Mexico. At epcot that is, there's plenty to do when you're not at the theme park. If you're tired of saving the galaxy from the forces of the empire, or your classes in defense of the dark arts.
Relax for a bit by the fuel. Every resort boasts beamed water areas. Choose to relax and sip at a swim up bar or build a sand castle in the sun. There is a perfect plunge waiting for you. Indulge your foodie self. There are plenty of exclusive dining experiences to try both at the theme parks. shopping areas, and all the resorts. You can try every type of butterbeer offered at Universal or give in to your inner princess and dine in Cindy's castle at the Magic Kingdom.
There is so much more magic in Pixie dust to enjoy. Okay, Charlotte. You are packing to go on a Disney cruise. Be sure to pack your bathing suit, your yoga pants, and close for dinner. You, my friend, are going on a Disney cruise. If vacations were a friend group, the Cruz is the leader of the pack. You are the coolest and most classic look in the suitcase. You're a glamour sport, always on top of the latest fashion trends, and you would get an a plus in any pop culture history class.
You're sweet and approachable. Everyone sees you for who you truly are, someone genuine and comfortable in her own skin. You probably exclusively listen to music from the nineties, and you have an aggressive bias against escorted land trips. I mean, who would wanna ride on a bus to get from place to place when you can go via a luxury liner? There's so much to do on board Disney cruises between brunch in the morning at Remmys, a chocolate and liquor tasting in the afternoon, Original Broadway Productions and the silent DJ party at night, you'll enjoy your days on board as much as the days and all the amazing ports of call. There's plenty for adults to do without their pint side entourage. Each ship offers adult only spaces including adult only lounges and restaurants. And on the all new Disney Wish, you can hang out in the Star Wars hyperspace lounge as the name suggests It takes place on a party ship in the Star Wars universe where guests jump to different locations and time periods. while sampling different drinks from planets like Tatooine, Batu, Mustafar, and Endor.
